Clark R. Richter, born in San Diego, California, received his Juris Doctorate from the J. Ruben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 1979. Mr. Richter has been with Udall, Shumway & Lyons since 1979, however, in 1981-1982, he served as counsel for the Subcommittee of Mines and Mining for the United States House of Representatives in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Richter has been given an “AV” rating by the national rating service of Martindale Hubbell. This rating is based upon lawyer peer review and is the highest rating for legal abilities and ethics, a rating which is given to only approximately the top 5% of lawyers nationwide.
Mr. Richter has extensive experience in the areas of personal injury, insurance issues and land use litigation. He is attorney of record for various clients including Golfland Sunsplash in Mesa, Arizona. Mr. Richter is involved with insurance issues and successfully argued the landmark case in Arizona: Darner Motor Sales v. Universal Underwriters, 140 Ariz. 383, 682 P.2d 388 (1984).
Mr. Richter is licensed to practice in all Arizona courts as well as the United States District Court of Arizona. He is past President of the East Valley Bar Association and is fluent in Spanish. Mr. Richter is a board member of A New Leaf, Inc., a non-profit organization and is currently co-chairman of the 2010-2011 Mesa United Way Campaign.
Mr. Richter is also the resident partner in Arizona for CLC cases. CLC or Consolidated Legal Concepts, Inc. provides legal services for major employers within the State of Arizona. Mr. Richter and the firm of Udall, Shumway & Lyons have represented CLC clients since 2002. The firm handles legal matters involving personal injury, insurance claims, family law, probate, estate planning and bankruptcy issues. Mr. Richter handles the personal injury matters and travels throughout the State of Arizona to provide consultation and advice on cases involving significant injuries or loss of life.
