    Jill K. Osborne joined Udall Shumway in 2005.  Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Osborne served as an Assistant Attorney General, advising the Arizona Department of Education.  Ms. Osborne also was a partner in the law firm of Kerrin & Osborne in Phoenix, Arizona, with an emphasis on employment and education law.  She began her legal career with the law firm of Brooks & Fitzpatrick in Lexington, Kentucky.  Prior to attending law school, Ms. Osborne taught French and English to high school students in rural Eastern Kentucky.  Ms. Osborne has extensive experience representing charter schools, private schools, school districts, teachers, professors, and school administrators before federal and state administrative agencies, and in state and federal court.  She provides advice to educators and employers on issues, including student and teacher discipline, sexual harassment investigations, public records and open meeting law, discrimination, civil rights, student records, and school and employee policies.

    Ms. Osborne is a regular speaker at legal seminars and statewide conferences and frequently speaks before school administrators and employees on education and employment law issues.  Ms. Osborne also writes a legal advice column for her monthly e-newsletter.
