Lindsay A. M. Olivarez joined Udall, Shumway & Lyons in 2011 bringing over 6 years of family law experience to the firm. Ms. Olivarez began her family law career as a paralegal and law clerk in a well-respected valley firm where she gained significant experience working with clients in a variety of family law matters. As an attorney, Ms. Olivarez has represented clients in a wide array of family law issues including divorce, custody, relocation and modification actions. Ms. Olivarez has experience working with clients at every stage of representation from initial filing through final settlement or trial.
Ms. Olivarez received her Juris Doctorate from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University graduating with Pro Bono Distinction and as a Pedrick Scholar. During law school, Ms. Olivarez was an Assistant Project Director for the Homeless Legal Assistance Project assisting valley homeless families with largely family law matters. She additionally authored a paper on the Maricopa County Spousal Maintenance Guidelines using extensive original research. Additionally, Ms. Olivarez was honored with the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Arizona Chapter 2007-2008 Scholarship. Ms. Olivarez received her Bachelor of Science degree in Justice Studies and Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, also from ASU, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Barrett, the Honors College. Ms. Olivarez’s undergraduate Honors Thesis was also family law-oriented having been written on the topic of conflict in family law modification cases.
