Clark R. Richter, born in San Diego, California, received his Juris Doctorate from the J. Rueben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 1979.  Mr. Richter has been with the firm since 1979, however, in 1981-1982 he served as counsel for the Subcommittee of Mines and Mining for the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Richter has been given an “AV” rating by the national rating service of Martindale Hubbell.  This rating is based upon lawyer peer review and is the highest rating for legal abilities and ethics, a rating which is given to only approximately the top 5% of lawyers nationwide.  

Mr. Richter has extensive experience in the areas of personal injury, insurance issues and land use litigation.  He is attorney of record for various clients including Golfland Sunsplash, Big Surf and Waterworld Safari in the Phoenix area.  Mr. Richter is involved with insurance issues and successfully argued the landmark insurance case in Arizona: Darner Motor Sales v. Universal Underwriters, 140 Ariz. 383, 682 P.2d 388 (1984).

Mr. Richter is licensed to practice in all Arizona courts as well as the U.S. District Court in Arizona.  He is past present of the East Valley Bar Association and is currently one of the managing partners of Udall, Shumway & Lyons.
