Richard Lowry has recently returned to Udall & Shumway in January as the firm’s Controller/Legal Administrator. He was the Legal Administrator with our firm from 1998 to 2000. Richard is is a member of Udall’s management team and is responsible for the day to day financial and HR operations.

Richard is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA). He has been a member since 1999.  He has also joined the local Phoenix Valley ALA also and meets with various legal administrators in the East Valley and throughout Phoenix to share ideas in the legal industry.

Richard has distinguished himself academically graduating in Accounting and Business from the Albertsons College of Idaho in the early 90’s. Richard has been a CPA in Alaska and has worked as a tax accountant and auditor for close to eight years. He has worked in the legal industry for over seven years.  Prior to joining Udall he was working at the Idaho National Lab in Idaho Falls for CH2M-WG Idaho, LLC as a Business Consultant and Senior Accountant.  Richard has volunteered for the American Red Cross for the last couple of years as a certified CPR trainer for adults, children, and infants.  He has also trained others on the Cardiac Chain of Survival using the automated external defibrillator (AED) machines and is trained to save your life.

Richard grew up on a farm milking cows and farming the various crops in Southern Idaho. In his spare time, he enjoys water sports, kayaking, hiking, cycling, hunting, and fishing and spending time with his family. Richard has three wonderful daughters from his deceased wife Anita, who unfortunately passed away to cancer in 2005.  Richard recently remarried on January 20^th to Kelly North of Utah and they will be residing in Mesa, AZ. He looks forward to his new job and new future with his family.
