Barbara has been the Legal Assistant to Denise Lowell-Britt who works in the field of Education Law with an emphasis on Special Education for the past 16 years.  She is also responsible for the central docketing system for the entire firm.  Barbara began working in the legal field as a Judicial Assistant to a New Mexico State District judge. At that time, New Mexico was in the forefront of recording trials and other hearings, and Barbara became a Certified Court Recorder.  Barbara was also on an Advisory Committee for Paralegal Studies at the Gallup, New Mexico branch of University of New Mexico and was responsible for Westlaw research for the court.  In 1984, she relocated to Arizona and began work at Udall, Shumway & Lyons.  Barbara is married and has three great children  and seven beautiful grandchildren.  During her tenure at Udall, Shumway & Lyons, Barbara has also served in the LDS Cornerstone Ward as Relief Society President, Young Women’s President and Gospel Doctrine teacher.  She is currently serving as a counselor in the Relief Society.
