A common issues that comes up during possible bankruptcy filings is, “Property in My Name Is Someone Else’s”.  If you “helped” someone purchase a vehicle, house, stock or other property by putting the property in your name because they didn’t qualify on their own for whatever reason, even if you didn’t pay for it yourself, that property must be properly listed in your bankruptcy petition.  It is very important to inform your attorney of such issues so they can be properly dealt with in the petition.
