Unfortunately, many individuals and their family members discovered the danger of defective products over the Christmas season, but there were also several products that made the list from throughout the year. One of the most popular dangerous products of 2015 had to be the hoverboard, because many parents purchased this for their children for Christmas, although serious injuries have resulted from children who are unsupervised using the product.

If you know or someone you know has been injured by a dangerous and defective product, you may have recourse by filing a personal injury claim in Arizona. Toys tend to be some of the most dangerous products on the market, unfortunately. This is despite the fact that they are specifically marketed to be used with children. Some of the common issues associated with dangerous toys are head injuries, facial injuries, allergic reactions, eye injuries, and choking risks.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Electronic Stealth Sword

This product is manufactured by the Playmates International Company and has the possibility of injuring children with blunt force to the head during a sword fight. Another item associated with potential eye or cranial injuries is the Splat X Smack Shot produced by Imperial Toys. The product is made out of plastic materials but encourages use as a slingshot, which can cause serious facial and head injuries.

Poo-Dough

This material was produced by Sky Rocket Toys but has the potential to inflame allergies in children who have issues around wheat. Be aware that your child may have an allergic reaction if she or he has issues with gluten.

Kick Flipper

This popular toy produced by Play Smart has the potential to generate head and bodily injuries for children who use it. Make sure you always supervise children who are playing with toys they could potentially be dangerous.

Jurassic World Velociraptor Claws

Capitalizing on the success of the new Jurassic World movie, this toy produced by Hasbro could lead to facial and eye injuries for children who are not playing with it safely.

As always, keep an eye on your children any time they are using these or other toys so as to minimize the chance for injury. If you believe that your child has been hurt as a result of a toy that should have been produced or sold more safely you may have grounds for a product liability claim. Consult with an Arizona product liability or personal injury attorney as soon as possible.
