Client Reviews

We are very grateful for having representation from your office. We had a wonderful result with finally adopting our daughter. Words can't express the gratitude we feel. Thank you very much.
A sincere and heartfelt thank you for today. I am emotional just thinking about it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your advocacy in this effort. Huge win today.
I just want to thank you and Steve again for all the work on this crazy case. My family is so thankful for him.
Simply want to express sincere gratitude for everything you and your amazing team have done for me and my daughter, especially this past weekend. Brings tears knowing you have my back.
I don't really have any words at the moment. I've been emotional since I read it. I truly can't thank you, Katie, and Mr. Everts for all of your help in this matter. This wouldn't have been possible with all of you so thank you for putting up with me. It's a giant weight lifted off my shoulders and I finally feel like I can move on with my life.
Thank you for taking to time to clear my “forgetfulness” and/or “wishful thinking!” I appreciate the clarification. I clearly recall that the “brass ring” was the cessation of spousal maintenance at the end of 2024. I forgot about the counter offer of 75% for the remaining two years. For the past two years, Steph was getting more money each month than I was taking home. That took a little getting used to. Knowing that this was a temporary situation helped me get through that. These next two years will feel like a pay raise, and then I will have completed my obligation. I greatly appreciate your sage counsel and timely responses, Steve. You have helped me over the years in more ways than just legal representation. Thank you.
"I want to thank you for all you have done in support of me during this very tumultuous time in my life. You all are a fantastic team and as I've said before, Steve is the best lawyer I have ever met or known. And I have seen the excellent support he receives from Linda and Katie!"
"This is such a blessing. Thank you for all the work you did. Great job! This is such a relief."
"Thanks again for all the help you have given me...I don't know what I would have done without it."
Thank you for checking in on us and apologies for not expressing our gratitude. Thank you for your work (and everyone’s work) on our case once again and helping us through the whole experience. This time felt much more trying than the first time around. We are so relieved to be moving forward now

We don’t feel adequate to express our gratitude to you for your work on our behalf this week. Thank you for your honor in your profession and the talents you have developed over many years. They have blessed our family so much. We appreciate your compassion and value-based instructions that have helped us better comprehend our circumstances and what we could do about them. You have been a wonderful guide and resource. Thank you again and we wish you the best in every facet of your life.
-Annalee & Andy
I appreciate you all very much. Thanks a million for all your help and hard work!
Extremely thorough and offered complimentary consult when most seasoned attorneys with his tenure would charge a minimum of $150-$200/hr. I was impressed he requested additional material to review/consider to provide a more thoughtful analysis of my case. no denying Steven is an expert and sincerely appreciated his time.
I also received the feedback from those in attendance, and every person who attended gave you, your presentation, and your materials high marks. It was our best reviewed CLE this year. Sincerely, Ashley B. Rahaman
I wanted to take a moment to thank you for everything yesterday and for all of the preparation leading up to the hearing. You did an amazing job presenting the information and painting a fair picture of the situation. You really helped me stay focused and grounded through the process and your insight throughout the hearing was a Godsend.
- Tammy
Thank you for presenting at the Southwest Divorce Conference last week. Early reviews suggest the overall program was well-received, and your presentation was referred to as “outstanding.” Your time, energies, and expertise were truly appreciated, and obviously your contribution made it all happen.

I can never thank you guys enough for all you did!

Thank you Steve. You ‘re the best lawyer ever.
Nothing but sincere and deep gratitude for everything. May your personal and professional care and attention continue to extend to all your clients who have the good fortune to work with all of you
Please keep doing what you do because I will be referring people to you every chance I get. I can’t say enough how appreciative I am of your help. Your personal examples really made me believe you were the best attorney for this job. God bless you and best wishes
It was my pleasure to have had such a dedicated and professional legal team on my side. I really felt like everyone took a personal interest in the outcome of my case and did their very best to influence it in my favor. Thanks again to you and the team for supporting me as you have during this most difficult and enduring time period.
Well after nearly three long and gruesome years, this matter has finally come to an end. The only thing left is for a strong summation and then to wait for the Judges decision. Your prayers in this regard would be very much appreciated. Anyway, my primary reason for writing is to personally thank each and every one of you for your help with my case. Everyone’s participation taken together is what made today possible. THANK YOU TO ALL MY FRIENDS AT UDALL SHUMWAY. And for Steve, the correct pronunciation is You-dall
I just wanted to reflect during this Easter Season by saying thank you to everyone for helping me through this painful process. Without your dedication to my cause this bad situation would be much worse. We are almost there and I thank God for that and having helped me to find you guys!
Thank you! We really appreciate your hard work!!
You are amazing! All in a day’s work y’all
- Denise
Thank you so much! I was so happy to see the court’s ruling. I sure do appreciate you.
I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your hard work and, clearly, your years of experience that made this transition a relatively smooth one. My children have adjusted so well and are excelling. We believe this move was divine intervention and we have you to thank for helping to make it possible.
Thank you for all that you did to help me through this process. I was touched by your deep regard for the institution of marriage (a rare find in a divorce attorney!) and I felt your professionalism and expertise exceeded all my expectations.
It is so reassuring to see justice prevail. Thank you so much for taking our case and thank you and your kind and caring staff for your support. God bless you.
It is strange how things progress. We worked together for quite a while and then everything was resolved. I want to thank you for the support and guidance you provided and for the expertise and energy you offered to help me through this very turbulent period. Thank you, Steve. Great job in court today! Thank you for holding the line on the attorney fees.
“Thank you all for everything you did to complete the settlement conference today! Thank you for playing referee and diplomat Mr. Everts. And thank you Linda and Bonnie for printing out all of the papers to sign!”
“After meeting with a few recommended lawyers I was ready to go . Until a colleague said, you should meet with “my guy”. I said no I am ready to go now, I have been served (papers) already and I am running out of time. He said just meet with him you won’t be disappointed. After meeting with Steve, I realized “wow this guy has a ton of experience”. I knew the lawyer we were going up against was strong and aggressive with 20 years of experience. I didn’t want to leave my case in the hands of a rookie. Steve helped me with suggestions on evidence I needed to gather to help me as a father stay in my children’s lives as an equal co-parent with 50/50 parenting time. That was nothing compared to how he handled himself in the courtroom however. He was so well detailed and prepared it was clear who the top lawyer in the courtroom was. It was clearly a night and day difference. While the other side was talking about money, emotions, and dead end questions. Steve stuck with the facts that he knew were the most important parts to drive home the evidence needed to win the case. Before my results were released by the judge, I told everyone that no matter what happens if I end up losing ( which I didn’t) it is not because of my lawyer because he was outstanding. His passion and drive to win for his clients may not be noticeable to the naked eye, but trust me it’s clear that I won because I had the best lawyer by far. You will not be disappointed with Steve’s detailed, passionate, and experienced work ethic.”
THANK YOU, MR. EVERTS! I prayed the “S” on your T-shirt stood for “SUPER STEVE!”
- Susie
“Once again, thank you all for your help and hard work on my case. I can’t tell you all how happy I was with the results. I have referred Steve out to so many people…he is highly respected, knowledgeable, intelligent, and very thorough. I am so happy to have him representing me and being on my side”.
- Susie

“I am still in shock over yesterday! Steve was spectacular! He handled everything in court with such grace, finesse and professionalism that it was amazing! Steve was able to settle all of our disputed issues and wrap up our divorce within 2 hours! Unbelievable! He took complete control of the situation, and settled everything in no time flat! I still can’t believe it. I was so afraid that this divorce was going to drag on for months. Steve is totally true to his reputation as being the BEST divorce attorney in Arizona! I am SO HAPPY with the results of yesterday’s court hearing. All I can say is this was God’s will, and Steve made it happen.”
