Pauline C. Dougherty is our Transaction Law group’s paralegal with a strong background in estate planning, estate/trust administration, probate, real estate and corporate matters. She works closely with Stephen L. West and Curtis M. Chipman and assists other members of the firm as needed. For the past 24 years, Pauline has focused primarily in the areas of estate planning, real estate transactions, business formations, probate, guardianships, conservatorships. During this time she has acquired a substantial amount of valuable experience and knowledge within these areas of law.
Pauline has assisted clients in designing and funding their revocable and irrevocable trusts. She also assists surviving heirs and devisees in administering the decedent’s estate and transferring property titled in the name of the decedent to the rightful successors in interest. Her broad knowledge and years of estate planning, transaction, tax and probate experience allow her, under the direction of an attorney, to assist and advise personal representatives and answer their common questions concerning the Arizona probate or trust administration process and issues that arise during an Arizona probate or trust administration. Pauline patiently and meticulously helps clients through the details and paperwork that are involved in estate, trust and guardianship administration, and settling estates.
Pauline has extensive experience helping clients attain their estate planning goals and enjoys working with a diverse group of clients. She drafts Trusts, Wills, Durable Powers of Attorney, Health Care Directive, Medical Powers of Attorney and Deeds. She knows the importance of a properly funded trust, and works side by side with clients, to ensure that all their assets are transferred correctly. She enjoys meeting with clients to execute documents as well as the important task of making sure that their experience with the firm was a positive one.
Pauline has been a transactional paralegal working since February 1999 for, Udall Shumway PLC, providing paralegal assistance with respect to probate matters, real estate, corporate and estate planning.
Pauline works closely with several attorneys in the office to help clients administer an estate after the death of a loved one. She works closely with families who have experienced the loss of a loved one with the ensuing probate or trust administration process. She has extensive experience in handling large and small probate estates, and non-court estates. She understands that these situations are very difficult and works with the clients to ease the process.
