Cathleen Dooley has become a partner with the firm and joined our Education Law and Employment Law teams. Prior to joining Udall Shumway, she served as an attorney at the Arizona Center for Disability Law, where she practiced in the areas of special education, housing, and employment discrimination law. Between 2007 to 2011, Cathleen served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Litigation Section of the Civil Rights Division of the Office of the Arizona Attorney General. In that position, she represented the State of Arizona in employment, housing, and public accommodation cases involving allegations of discrimination on the basis of race, sex, and disability. Cathleen has presented many special education and housing discrimination trainings, including “Preventing Restraint & Seclusion,” “Avoiding the School to Prison Pipeline,” “Disability and Housing Law,” and “Nuts and Bolts of the IEP Process.”
