Denise Lowell-Britt Receives John R. McDonald Award at ASBA Event

Denise Lowell-Britt was honored with the John R. McDonald Award at the 41st Annual Arizona School Boards Association Law Conference. The conference took place on Monday, September 6 through Wednesday, September 8, 2017 at J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge in Phoenix.

The John R. McDonald Award was developed to honor prominent Tucson Attorney John R. McDonald who passed away in 2012. Mr. McDonald was once president of the Arizona School Boards Association and left a legacy of dedication to improving education. Those honored with this award have reflected the spirit of Mr. McDonald by their outstanding contributions and leadership in public education in Arizona.

Ms. Lowell-Britt has been practicing law at Udall Shumway PLC since 1987 and has been a partner of the firm since 1993.  Ms. Lowell-Britt is very pleased to devote her practice entirely to representing school districts, community colleges, charter schools and other public educational institutions. She has been repeatedly selected by her peers as a “Best Lawyer in America” in the specialty of Education Law, including the most recent selection for 2017, and has also been listed in the 2015, 2016 and 2017 selections of Arizona’s Finest Lawyers. The firm and Ms. Lowell-Britt have also been repeatedly identified as providing the highest quality legal services in the area of Government Relations in “Ranking Arizona: The Best of Arizona Business”, including the most recent edition of this publication.
