Udall Shumway PLC Family Law Attorney Lindsay A.M. Olivarez addressed the members and guests of Association for Supportive Child Care on September 21, 2017. The Spirit of the Child Awards was a breakfast event/fundraiser to benefit the efforts of ASCC as they seek to improve the quality of child care and early education for children in Arizona, birth to school age.
Ms. Olivarez was a volunteer for ASCC during high school and reconnected with the organization to provide leadership and support over two years ago. She currently serves as a board member for the organization. When asked why she chooses to volunteer for this organization, Ms. Olivarez said : “ASCC has a 40 year legacy of improving early education and care in Arizona. As an attorney who represents mostly parents, and as a parent myself, I am proud to be a part of an organization whose mission is to provide programming that makes quality care available to children and families from all walks of life. It is an exciting year of transition at ASCC as we welcomed a new CEO in November 2016, and we are continually seeking new partners to help us push our mission of quality care and early education forward.’
Ms. Olivarez joined Udall Shumway PLC in 2011. She has 13 years of family law experience including her work in the field as a paralegal and law clerk prior to becoming an attorney. As an attorney, Lindsay’s clients rely on her as an effective advocate during their time of family transition while remaining a solution-oriented problem solver to bring about amicable resolution where possible. Lindsay has represented clients in a wide array of family law issues including divorce, custody (now known as “legal decision making”), relocation and modification actions. Lindsay has experience working with clients at every stage of representation from initial filing through final settlement or trial. She also frequently represents clients in uncontested family law matters.
