Udall Shumway PLC hires Banfield and Kielsky as Partners in the Firm.
Stockton D. Banfield came to the Firm in March of 2016 to join the Commercial Litigation section. Mr. Banfield focuses his practice on representing individuals and businesses in litigation related issues including business, real estate, and probate matters. Mr. Banfield assists small business owners in creating and maintaining business entities and handling employment related issues. Mr. Banfield also has experience with corporate/LLC and other business organizations formation, forming and certifying minority owned businesses, buying and selling of businesses, real estate (including foreclosures), contracts, debtor/creditor, business torts, representation of registered professionals, probate-probate avoidance, and trust, estate; probate litigation, and property disputes.
Mr. Banfield attended Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, in Washington, D.C. Mr. Banfield was chairman of the schools Honor Board and served as a teaching assistant for the legal writing department. Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Banfield worked at a boutique law firm representing small and minority owned business in all areas of litigation and transactional work.
Michael Kielsky joined the Firm in March of 2016 as well. For 15 years, Mr. Kielsky was employed in a variety of roles in technology, including Software Engineer, Business Analyst, and Manager of Engineering, at well-known companies in industries such as aerospace, communications, defense, finance, and technology. Mr. Kielsky is a litigator focused on criminal defense, DUI defense, and traffic tickets, including photo radar. Additionally, Mr. Kielsky represents victims of crimes navigating the criminal justice system, as well as clients in administrative hearings before boards and administrative law judges, and in protective order matters. Mr. Kielsky has developed a reputation for challenging photo radar citations, and has taught numerous Continuing Legal Education classes to other lawyers on the practical and legal foundations to achieving success in such cases.
